Desyn was born and raised in London, England, witnessing the big bang of electronic dance music and the the birth of the the rave and house music scenes. It all started in the late 1980s early 90s and the U.K. was the european centre of this musical revolution that saw the seeds of house, baleric, techno and rave music grow. Desyn’s sound incorporates all of these vibes and around 20 years on he continues to play every corner of the globe and be part of its evolution, expressing in his wide and varied DJ sets what he feels is the very essence of the scene when it was at its purest and most beautiful form, its birth. Desyn has crafted himself a diverse career, constantly eschewing the typical path of DJ stardom, focusing at times on himself as a solo artist, and at other times putting his talents into various musical partnerships, namely SOS (2006 to 2010) and now the exiting new musical DJ sound-system, Faciendo (www.faciendo.com)

Desyn’s solo DJ career started fulltime in 1999 where one mix cd he did at home sparked the interest of global promoters world-wide and earned him his first international gigs. Desyn’s career was built almost purely on his DJing ability, having only released a handful of low key underground co-productions in his career, it was instead word of mouth and reports from the dance-floor of his DJ sets that sparked his rise and recognition. Career highlights include the release of 5 DJ mix CD compilations into the stores worldwide on labels such as Balance, Ministry of Sound, Bedrock and Yoshitoshi and being voted a DJ magazine “Top 100 DJ” three times, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Touted by many in the industry as “the man that never sleeps”, it is testament to his ongoing ability to re-invent himself and craft his own groove, that covers almost every genre. Desyn is a self confessed vinyl addict, admitting that he spent most of his youth in dusty second hand record stores in London, amassing a huge musical knowledge of electronic music, which most lately he is sharing with the world via the Faciendo radio show that he presents on a regular basis.
